WEEK 7 ( benefits & contributions )

  • The main idea of this project is creating a displaying messages which is very eye catching and much more stand out compared to the two dimensional normal panel display.

  • The led’s will be array from 5x5x5 because it will be easy to develop a programming from each led’s. All of the led’s will be construct properly to make an easy view for 3D display. The glass case will be use as a protector for this cube. The benefits will get from this glass case is, it will reflect the light from the led's to make the cube more brightness and more beautiful to viewers, while it will protect the led's away from movement.

  • All of the led’s need an enough current to make the led’s more brightness. The power efficiency can be make after all of the led’s fully construct. It is because, each port from PIC will come out with 5 led’s in parallel circuit. It need to make a calculation from a resistor to give all of the led’s can present excellently and also the pulse of modulation can be make. It will enable the student to know the basic concept of electronic  and digital electronic that had learn from previous semester to apply it back for this project.

  • The project enables the student to develop lot of skills. The technical knowledge, such as microcontroller interfacing, programming (C ) skills and hands-on skills, and few soft skills such as writing skills and technical presentation skills which will be used by the student in their near future. 

  • Microcontroller is a device to become interface between outputs. The outputs for this project is led cubes with 5x5x5 led will be used. All of the design for the output will be program on the microcontroller. To run this program, MPLAB IDE will be use as a software and C will be as a language. It will be easy for student to understand the software because it is a same software that student had learn in Microcontroller and Interfacing subject.
